Crib

I decided we needed a little nursery update. This week I started with the crib. I don't want to repaint, but I don't want a gender neutral room this time. PROBLEM #1...We are team green. PROBLEM #2...My husband is tight. "Why do we need a new bedding set when we already have one?" So I thought he might not mind if I make a crib skirt myself. Especially with a coupon I could get my material 50% off at JoAnn's.

This is what I came up with...

It is hard to tell in the picture but the skirt is brown and white polka dots. Brown and pink and green go well together. So does brown green and blue. Olivia is planning on going shopping with Grandma when the baby is born, so I will have to add crib sheets to their list.

With a little advice from my sister-in-law and this blog, http://www.viewalongtheway.com/2012/04/silliest-little-adjustable-crib-skirt-tutorial-on-the-web/ it was super easy. It is even adjustable so when we lower the crib it won't bunch to the floor.

DIY: Burp Clothes

If you follow my super sweet, very crafty sister-in-law on facebook you'll see that she made some super cute burp clothes for the baby boy they are expecting soon.

So I thought I'd give it a shot. If you knew my girls when they were babies, they were super spitter-uppers. Olivia much worse than Emelyn. So we go through LOTS of burp clothes.

I think Stacy got them from this blog: http://jonesdesigncompany.com/baby/burp-cloths/.  If not, it is the blog I used. I tried to go gender neutral, since we are team green.
